Georgios Karageorgiou , Chief Executive Officer |
Mr. Karageorgiou has served as our Chief Executive Officer since September 2006.
He has 19 years of shipping experience (5 years experience in a public company). He worked as a Projects Engineer for Kassos Maritime Enterprises (1990-1992) and as a Director and Corporate Secretary for Stelmar Shipping Limited (1992-2004), a shipping Company listed on the New York Stock Exchange between 2001 and 2004 . During his time at Stelmar Shipping Limited, Mr. Karageorgiou assisted with both vessel acquisitions and financings and was involved with the Company’s initial public offering (“IPO”)and subsequent sale to OSG in December 2004.
He was also a Director of easyGroup Ltd, easyJet Holdings Ltd, easyInternetCafe Ltd, easyCruise Ltd, Stelinvest Corp. and a number of other easyGroup subsidiaries in the years 1995-2005.
Mr. Karageorgiou holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering and an ME in Ocean Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MSC in Shipping Trade and Finance from City University Business School (CASS).

Elias S. Deftereos , Chief Financial Officer |
Mr. Deftereos has served as our Chief Financial Officer and a member of our Board of Directors since April 2007.
He has been involved in banking and the capital markets for more than 19 years, for 10 of which he was active in the shipping industry. He has previously worked as an Analyst for Olympic Maritime of the Onassis Group (1988-1991), as an Account Officer for ship financing for ABN AMRO Bank (1994-1996), and more recently as the Finance Director of Konkar Shipping Agencies (2004-2005) and Astron Maritime (2005-2006), two companies managing the fleets of bulk-carriers. Mr. Deftereos has also worked as an Investment Manager for Lehman Brothers (1997-1998) and as the Group Treasurer of Mytilineos Holdings (1999-2001), a company listed on the Athens Stock Exchange.
Mr. Deftereos holds a BA in Economics from the State University of New York and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.

Captain Stefanos Melidis , Operation Manager, DPA, CSO |
Captain Stefanos Melidis has served 6 years as Master at "Arkadiki Maritime" and "Navarone S.A." and has also worked as an S&P Broker at "Overseas Agency". Working in several companies, he has 22 years of experience as Port Captain, Operator, Operations Manager and Chartering Manager.
From 1995 until 1998 he was a member of Hellenic Mutual Association Board of Directors and is a member of HELMEPA.
Captain Melidis is now serving our Company at the position of Operations Manager, DPA and CSO.

Georgios Vombiris, Technical Manager |
Mr. Vombiris has served for 28 years as a Superintendent Technical Engineer at "Sun Enterprises Ltd" of S.Livanos Group, 11 of which he lived in Japan. He has also worked as a Technical Coordinator at "Dynacom Tankers Ltd" and as a Technical Manager at "LMZ Transoil Shipping Enterprises".
At Globus Shipmanagement Corp. Mr. Vombiris serves as Technical Manager. He holds a BSc at Mechanical-Electric Engineering from the Manchester University.

Marianna Simiakaki, Accounting Manager |
Mrs. Simiakaki has been serving as an Accountant in Shipping since 1974. For the last 13 years she has been working as an Accounting Manager and has also been giving accounting seminars at the Hellenic Management Centre since 1999.
Mrs. Simiakaki holds a BSc in Financial Accounting from the University of Athens and an A' Class Licence of the Chamber of Economics.
